Take a deep dive in one of Western Australia’s iconic deep wreck dives

The SS Pericles is one of Western Australia’s iconic deep wreck dives. Built in 1908 and sunk in 1910 after striking an uncharted rock off the coast of Cape Leeuwin, she now rests 35m below the surface. The wreck features impressive boilers, winches, cargo holds and sweeping hull lines that hint at her former grandeur as a luxury passenger liner. Over a century underwater has transformed the Pericles into a thriving artificial reef, attracting schools of pelagics, reef fish and vibrant invertebrate life.

Requirements

All divers must:

  • Have a Deep Dive or Technical Dive certification
  • Have dived within the previous 3 months
  • Have dived with Swan Dive in the previous 6 months
  • Submit a comprehensive dive plan upon arrival – Including depths, times, gases and bail out plan
  • Carry both a orange/pink AND a yellow SMB
